Exhibit

With an Exhibit, there are some key guidelines to follow:
1. Articulate. Be concise. Students may only use 500 of your own words to use on the exhibit.
2. Clearly outline the thesis and main arguments.
3. Use images that are relevant and tell a story. For example. If a student were doing a project on Montgomery Bus Boycott, they may want to include an image of Rosa Parks sitting on the bus instead of a simple head shot of her. The image should add to the information presented.
4. Be careful to not clutter your poster board with too much.

Glitz or No Glitz?
Your project will be judged on historical quality, clarity of presentation, and adherence to theme. Glitz is not a part of the judging process. Glitz is extra. Students who focus on glitz will not get extra points. Glitz should only be applied if it helps you to provide a clearer presentation. Exhibits should not break the bank-- in fact, the best projects are often simple because they nail the judging requirements.
